Yes, I had a dream

I had 2 weird dream last night (big surprise). This is sort of a recurring thing that I forgot about. There are these 2 huge chambers (is that the right word?) completely filled with water. I think they are underground.... There really isn't anything in them but I guess they are about the size of blue springs and really deep with just some pebbles at the bottom. They are connected by a little door. So in the dream I was swimming in one of them and Kelly in the other. The thing is, you can breathe in there even though you are in water. So basically I was just swimming in it and went between the two chambers. Then me and kelly went up into a door at the top where you are on dry land but in some metal kind of place. That's it.

In the next dream me and Kelly were at a camp and were about 12. There was a contest going on where we had to drive a NASCAR car around a track and the person who did it the fastest won. We were all in our cars and a nascar driver was going to take us around the track once to see what it was like. He sat in my car and gave me instructions as we went around. Then I went first. I got a good time. When I got out of the car Terry was there and I was surprised to see him. I told him that we met a nascar driver. Then I woke up.

I don't think these have any relevance to real life. I had talked to Kelly just before bed though so I guess that's why she was in both dreams. I just realized this morning I have had a similar dream before about these water filled huge metal chambers. In the dream before we were in there for as a cruise excursion and they were kind of showing it off because you could breathe in there even though you were in water.

The only other dream I have had since blogging last was a couple of nights ago. It was really weird so I don't know if I can really explain it, but we were at the Indian River in Titusville but over the bridge. There were lots of walkways over the water but they were that metal grate type thing. There was lots of stuff from my house on them and a hurricane just went through so the river was flooded and there was about a foot of water above the walkways. Just about everyone from my high school class was there just hangin out. I went to leave and got in an RV and was scared because we had to drive over the bridge which was really turnny and flooded. We got a little ways on before I woke up.

I have no idea where that one came from! I will try to update my dreams more as I have them and not days later!

God's Dark

One of my favorite poems is called God's Dark and I think it applies here:

The Dark is kind and cozy,
The Dark is soft and deep,
The Dark will pat my pillow
And love me as I sleep.

The Dark is smooth as velvet,
And gentle as the air,
And he is good to children
And people everywhere.

The Dark can see and love me
Without a bit of light,
He gives me dreams and resting,
He brings the gentle Night.

God made the Dark, so Daytime
Could close its tired eyes
And sleep awhile in comfort
Beneath the starry skies.

The Daytime, just like children,
Needs rest from work and play,
So it can give us children
Another happy day.

God made the Dark for children
And birdies in their nest,
All in the Dark, He watches
And guards us while we rest.

Dream journal

I've always wanted to start a dream journal and since I am now addicted to blogging after one week of our family blog, I figured why not make my dream journal a blog?

I've always had very vivid and lengthy dreams.  They can get really weird too.  There is usually a part of my dream that I can relate back to something that has happened recently, but the rest of the dream is just weird.  Since I get up with Brighton at night still I will sometimes have multiple dreams in one night. I can almost always remember the whole dream whether right away or something throughout the day will trigger my memory.  I don't usually have nightmares but I don't watch scary movies either.  As a matter of fact, I remember my first ever night mare.  I don't remember how old I was, but I remember waking up thinking that was my first nightmare.  My memory of it is a little shaky, but here it is:

We were in the house on Key Maderia.  We (stepsisters and all were all sitting in the family room) a man walked in and he had a white face and red eyes.  If he looked at you, you died.  He looked at my sisters in the room and they died.  Me and Kelly ran to my bedroom.  She got on the bottom bunk and I crawled under the bed.  He looked at kelly and she died then he bent down and the last thing I remember is him looking me in the eye.

When you're 6 or 7 or whatever that's pretty scary.  There's one dream in particular that I'm interested in finding a pattern for.  I have this recurrent dream that started in about my junior year of high school.  For about the first year I had it the dream consisted of Kelly, me and one other person (always a different person) going (swimming or tubing) down a spring at dusk.  In every dream Kelly would get eaten by an aligator dispite our frantic efforts to save her.  There was only one time that she survived and that was when the third person was Terry.  In more recent years I still have the dream, but kelly isn't often in it.  It's still always dusk when I'm going down this spring and it's about 50/50 whether or not I'm alone.

So for my entries I plan on telling about the dream and then mentioning what patters to real life I can find.  So, join me on my journey if you wish, but it's sure to be filled with some sweet but mostly weird dreams.  I didn't have a dream last night, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow for something interesting to read!
